Federal government funding of $420,000 from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program (round three) will go towards sprucing Pelican Boardwalk, in Memorial Drive, Forster Main Beach and a children's park on Kularoo Drive.
Member for Lyne, David Gillespie said the Mid-Coast destinations had enjoyed a tourism resurgence over the holidays.

"Our local beaches and lakes, cafes, restaurants and parks are, quite literally, the playground for our city cousins and we warmly welcome their business," Dr Gillespie said.
"Thousands of visitors are expected into Forster-Tuncurry this coming weekend for the NSW Country Surf Lifesaving Championships - up to 1500 competitors and several thousand spectators - and it's important to continue investing in our local tourism hotspots including our parks, the foreshore area at Main Beach and the beautiful boardwalk along Wallis Lake.
"It's great to see some big events making a comeback and they will bring substantial tourism dollars into the region."
Dr Gillespie said the Pelican Boardwalk upgrades, replacing existing timberwork with fibre-reinforced plastic decking, was expected to begin in March and completed in May.
The work will include:
- Pelican Boardwalk - Redecking Stage 2 $100,000
- Main Beach - Retaining Wall extension towards Pilot Hill $250,000
- Majorie Debert Reserve - Play equipment upgrades $70,000
