In a normal world the club would have been competing since August when duathlons start.
These continue through August and September before giving way to triathlons.
The club also runs aquathons on a Friday evening at the Bullring from 6pm.
However, this year there'll be no activities until December because of the lockdown and subsequent ban on community sport until October 25 for the fully vaccinated.
"Triathlon NSW has made it very clear that no sanctioned events can be held before December 1,'' Forster Tri Club president, Margaret Gordon said.
"It's very frustrating, but there are a lot of sports in the same boat.''

The club is currently in the process of putting together a calendar for what will be a shortened season. This will include women's only triathlon that is booked for Sunday, January 16.
Margaret said club memberships have dipped in the past two seasons due to the uncertainty because of COVID.
"People don't want to commit if they aren't sure if we'll be able to conduct races,'' she said.
However, she hopes there will be a resurgence when racing is able to be conducted on a more regular basis.
