The local outfit is up against Port Macquarie Chamber of Business and Wauchope Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The award recognises the achievements of a local chamber of commerce in supporting its members to maximise their business potential through advocacy, education and promotion.
Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber president, Megan Lewis was understandably delighted with the news chamber is had been shortlisted as a finalist in the awards.
"This is the first time we've entered into the awards and to be recognised as a finalist is a great outcome," Ms Lewis said.
"It's a testament to the hard work put in by the volunteer committee of 11 local business owners and people passionate about business and our community," she said.
"We also really appreciate the wonderful support we receive from our members and local business owners who share their ideas and energy with the chamber.

Stretching from Woolgoolga in the north and south to Forster, the business awards acknowledge growth, entrepreneurship and celebrates business success.
Lumpys Nursery and Landscape Yard, Tuncurry co-owner, Jenny Roddick was chuffed being named a finalist in the excellence in small business section.
Mrs Roddick said the acknowledgement was a tribute to the Lumpys' team which had faced an almost never ending series of setbacks - drought, bushfires, floods and COVID19 - over the past two years.
The hard times - primarily the record breaking drought - had motivated the popular nursery to implement and introduce new strategies.
"We came through it in the end; we are more resilient."
Also making the finalist list are:
Milligans Shower Screens and Wardrobes, Forster and Tuncurry has been named a finalist in the excellence in small business, while Forster-based Coastal Cosmetic Injectables and Tiona Holliday Park have made it to the finals in the outstanding start-up award.
