Now most people, even those who have no interest in cars would have heard of the BBC world-wide hit program Top Gear.
Unlike previous TV motoring programs it was geared for entertainment, not factual motoring information.
It contained very little of that.
Phillipa Sage was a girl Friday in the Top Gear team.
She was mainly focussed on the live tours they did all over the world.
She has written a book on her time travelling the world with the Top Gear presenters and team, titled - Off Road with Clarkson, Hammond & May.
This soft cover book of 269 pages tells of the fun, tensions and even madness of those times.
What you see on TV would appear to be a good imitation of Clarkson, Hammond and May who lived an almost unbelievable lifestyle. Phillipa saw it all
The book available from most good bookshops including The Pitstop Bookshop is a light hearted and fun read.
If you loved Top Gear this book is a must read.
I interviewed Phillipa from her home in the UK. The interview goes to air over two weeks on the 26/6 and 3/7.
