If that sign is there you have to obey it otherwise police can book you.
Fines can be very heavy with possible loss of licence.
Well someone in the South Australian Government must have had it happen to them because they're about to bung fines on operators who leave such signs out when no road works are happening.
Great idea that should be adopted here in NSW.
Because of occupational and safety regulations they place the signs a number of kilometres before the road works.
It's a simple matter to go along and cover the road work speed limits when not in use.
But this is simply not done for whatever reason.
Road safety concerns of course have to be considered.
Fines for leaving unattended road works speed limits in place would be a great incentive to cover them.
