"International Women's Day is dedicated to honouring the achievements of women," says Jessica Gray of Smart Coast Conveyancing.
"I am so proud of everything we have achieved, and I think we play an important role in the progression of women in business.
"When I first expressed an interest in opening Smart Coast Conveyancing, I experienced gender discrimination. I was told I had no idea how hard it would be to start a business and that I didn't have what it takes to be successful in the male-dominated legal profession," says Jessica.
"So I took strength in my self-belief and partnered with another inspiring businesswoman, Kellie Cary; we worked tirelessly to make our dreams a reality.
"Now, International Women's Day has a special place in our hearts, and we hope that our story will inspire other women to be fearless and brave to achieve their goals."
International Women's Day's theme is 'Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.'
Jessica says that despite the COVID-19 situation, gender equality creates a better future for all of us, increasing work and economic security.
"This helps us all in the fight against stereotypical trends that lead to social problems in the community. We are passionate about making a difference.
"To mark the day, we will be attending and sponsoring the International Women's Day Luncheon at Taree hosted by RMHC Northern NSW and the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat, Forster."
When buying or selling a property, Smart Coast Conveyancing can help with all the legal work. As well as residential transactions, they have expertise in commercial sales and leasing.
"We have been operating for nearly four years now and continue to grow every year. It is because of our excellent team of dedicated and hard-working women that our service is so exceptional," says Jessica.
"We are paperless and 100 per cent digital. We have a five-star rating across all online platforms and the only local conveyancing service to provide a 24-hour service.
"Our clients come from all over NSW, so we are a local business bringing revenue into the area.
"However, we have an office in Tuncurry, so if you are local, you are always welcome to come in and have a chat about your conveyancing needs," says Jessica.
"We are cost-effective and fast, but it is our service that sets up apart.
"The biggest trend in real estate at the moment is people moving out of the city into the regions," says Jessica. "More people want to work from home; they can leave their city apartment and live in a beautiful home when they move here."
