MidCoast Council is opening its coffers and offering event organisers up to $10,000 in sponsorship monies
However, time is slipping away, with February 28 the last day to submit an application for any event scheduled between August 1 this year and January 31, 2022.
Applications will be assessed on the level of economic, social and cultural benefits generated through the event.
From music festivals, sporting events and art shows, through to food, fashion and performance, council is committed to supporting great local events, especially after the challenges of 2020, MidCoast Council economic development co-ordinator, Robyn Brennan said.
"Events were one of the first things to be cancelled when coronavirus hit and all parts of the industry have suffered, so we are really looking forward to being able to support great local events again in 2021-22," Ms Brennan said.
