Friday afternoon and evening was a busy period in the Great Lakes for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attending a two vehicle accident at Rainbow Flat and a snake bite at Seal Rocks.
Just before 10pm the helicopter was flown to Bulahdelah Showground following reports a nine-year-old boy had been bitten by a suspect brown snake near Treachery Beach near Seal Rocks.
The boy was taken by private vehicle to Bungwahl where they were met by local NSW Ambulance paramedics who treated him before transporting to Bulahdelah.
The critical care medical team took over treatment before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
