Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead joined NSW RFS acting district manager Guy Duckworth and officials from MidCoast Council to hand over the vehicle.
"This new $368,000 Category 1 tanker will assist volunteers in the Tuncurry brigade to provide an even greater level of fire protection for their local community," Mr Bromhead said.
"The NSW Government's ongoing investment in new vehicles ensures NSW RFS members have access to modern firefighting technology when responding to fires and other incidents."
Inspector Duckworth praised Tuncurry's 75 volunteer members and the volunteer force across the Mid Coast district for their ongoing dedication and service.
"The efforts of our volunteers do not go unnoticed, and this new equipment will support the brigade to continue their outstanding work," he said.
"These men and women remain on-hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we should be extremely proud and grateful for their contribution.
"In particular, considering the magnitude of last season, I would like to congratulate everybody on their ongoing hard work and professionalism."
