The club's inaugural fast 5 carnival in November attracted 79 competitors, and director of surf sports at the club, Kevin Boag, is expecting even more lifesavers to turn out this time.
"I would be hoping for over 100," he said.
Mr Boag said Port Macquarie-based club Tacking Point had confirmed around 30 of their members would be competing, and with the popular Manly Nipper Nats carnival on the Northern Beaches now postponed, he wouldn't be surprised if even more competitors showed up from outside the area.
"It was meant to be held on the same weekend," he said.
"I'm wondering if other clubs will be looking at coming now."
While the latest carnival will still follow a format of five races in quick succession, Mr Boag says he's got a few changes in store from last time.
"I'll be changing the race to an M pattern course," he said.
"It gets them closer to their parents and the crowd and they have to deal with the surf twice as much.
"I've also added in a ski race for the 17s and opens."

Mr Boag said he had only received positive feedback about the first fast 5 carnival and he hoped the format would continue to grow in popularity in the area.
"I've run into a few parents who are excited and were really happy with how it panned out last time," he said.
Mr Boag said there were definite plans in place to continue the carnivals next season and he hoped to add another one to the schedule.
"I'd like to do three across the season," he said.
