Great Lakes graffiti buster, Ted Bickford has described the vandalism of buildings and fences in Bulahdelah on the night of Friday, December 18 as the worst during the past 26 years he has been on the job.

It took Mr Bickford and two volunteers a weekend to remove the purple tags from 14 Colorbond fences, a toilet block, pumping station and the Telstra building.
"I was very fortunate to have had the volunteers; I would still have be there," he said.
"This would be in the top three of worst cases I have come across in the past 26 years."
He based this fact on the amount of damage and area which was covered by the vandals.

The trio of graffiti busters began removing the collection of purple tags at 9am on Saturday morning and finished the job at 4pm on the Sunday.
Judging from the method of avoiding CCTV cameras which are located throughout the CBD, Mr Bickford said he was confident the vandalism was the work of locals.
"They steered clear of the cameras."
Mr Bickford said locals had been horrified when the tags were discovered.
"They didn't know what to do."
Bulahdelah has been hit in the past, but nothing on this scale, Mr Bickford said.
With an expected influx of tourists, Mr Bickford is urging locals to be vigilant and report any sightings of graffiti.
On the upside of his charity work, Mr Bickford is looking forward to the delivery of a new vehicle in the new year.
