Club president Garry McQuillan was pleased with the turn out and said it was great to see local businesses enjoying their end-of-year Christmas parties.
"They all had a great time," he said.
"Quite a few of them turned up."
Mr McQuillan said the racing proved quite competitive throughout the day, with the softer than expected track doing little to hamper the runners.
"Unfortunately we had nine millimetres of rain on Friday," he said.
"But it was still great racing; not one jockey complained about the racing surfaces."

With the club's COVIDsafe guidelines working well on the day and patrons once again allowed to buy tickets at the gate, Mr McQuillan was looking forward to a strong year of racing in 2021.
"It was a good indication of what's going to happen for our January meet," he said.
The club will host its Seafood Race Day on Saturday, January 16.
Bookings are essential for gazebos and pavillions.
