Focus groups for people living with a disability, their carers, family and disability provider organisations will be held to gain information on how the water playground can be an accessible, all ability facility.
"There are examples of water playgrounds that provide all ability, accessible water play for all ages, and we're keen for our facility to incorporate accessible design wherever possible," MidCoast Council community spaces, recreation and trades manager, Dan Aldridge said.
The on-site group session will be held near the Tuncurry skate park on Friday, December 4 from 3-5pm, followed by another from 10am to noon, Saturday, December 5, near the Rockpool, while two sessions will be held at Forster Council Chambers in Breese Parade on December 9 or 14.
Alternatively, council's community engagement team will visit organisations to hold focus group sessions if they would prefer.
"We're happy to come to you, or you can nominate to attend one of the four focus group sessions at council chambers," Mr Aldridge said.
"All you need to do is to visit our website and complete the focus group form - letting us know which option you prefer."

There's loads of way to let us know what you think should be included in the Tuncurry water playground, beginning with the quick poll or eight minute survey, Mr Aldridge said.
You can send council your favourite image of water playgrounds you've visited, or images you'd like to see included in the Tuncurry water playground.
Browse the Image gallery on the website for inspiration.
"We're visiting schools, preschools and other children's centres across the area to gain some feedback from school children about the playground design.
"If your school, preschool or children's centre would like a fun, activity-based visit from us, please get in contact with Koran North on 7955 7273.
"We want to hear from the very young amongst us as well, so parents and carers can assist small children to complete the quick poll online, send us their favourite images, or download and colour-in their favourite water playground equipment - there's a colour in set available on the website.
You can scan and email the completed artworks to us via the website form, or drop them into any council office across the region.
