A man is in a serious but stable condition after being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards from Bulahdelah last night.
Just before 6pm the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was flown to a residential address in Bulahdelah following reports a man had sustained serious burns.
The 48-year-old was treated at the scene by Ambulance NSW paramedics for serious burns to his chest and face, the result of a welding accident.
He was stabilised by the helicopter critical care medical team before being flown direct to Sydney for specialist treatment.
