Thanks to a grant from the NSW Government, and partnering with the Taree, Harrington Crowdy Head, Wingham and Forster Tuncurry business chambers, hampers are full of goodies, from motivational business books to locally sourced pamper products will be distributed a number of small businesses.
"The thought-provoking books provide the opportunity for businesses to reflect on how they reacted to recent stressors, while the pamper products are designed to show our local businesses that they are supported, and reminding them that there is a caring community surrounding them," MidCoast Council's economic development coordinator, Robyn Brennan said.
"The non-perishable pamper products are all sourced from within the Mid Coast, and will also let businesses know what's in their own big backyard, encourage collaboration and promote a strong and inclusive economy.
"MidCoast locals are great at pulling together when times are tough, and we've all been supporting our local businesses through devastating drought, unprecedented bushfires and a one in a hundred year pandemic," Robyn said.
"We've seen amazing resilience and adaptation by our businesses as they've tackled each of these challenges, but there's no doubt that these events have taken their toll on many small business operators across the MidCoast."
