Australia has been slower with the take up generally because of travel distances and infrastructure fears.
Distance we can do nothing about but infrastructure is improving at a rapid rate.
Range anxiety is a big blocker with electric cars.
This will soon be a thing of the past as more and more charging stations become available.
From Caltex: "Caltex is pleased to reveal the launch of electric vehicle charging stations delivered in partnership with Evie Networks, who are building Australia's largest ultra-fast charging network.
"The launch forms a part of a pilot program that includes six electric vehicle charging stations across Caltex sites in Australia.
"Caltex's national network of retail sites, close to existing high-traffic roads infrastructure in metropolitan areas and along Australia's major highways, makes us uniquely placed to play a key role in the delivery of electric vehicle charging."
Taree has one such Evie site at the Caltex at the Taree Service Centre.
