The board has a plaque mounted on it stating it was erected in loving memory of John Wesley Martin.
He was a former member, steward and elder of the church.
Johnny Martin, as he was better known, is the region's only test cricketer.
In a first class career spanning from 1956 to 1968, Johnny played eight test matches for Australia and took 17 test wickets at 48.94. He featured in 135 first class games and played Sheffield Shield for NSW and South Australia.
