A man faced Taree Local Court earlier today, Monday, July 13 after large commercial supply of drugs was allegedly found during a targeted vehicle stop near Bulahdelah.

In November 2019, investigators from Redfern Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Elparra to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney.
About 5.45am on Saturday, July 11, investigators approached a stationary Hyundai Santa Fe at a truck stop on the Pacific Highway and spoke to the 59-year-old driver.
During a search of the vehicle, investigators allegedly located a jerry can containing 20L of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), more than 530g of methylamphetamine (ice), more than 110g of cocaine, 125g of ketamine and 210g of an unidentified powder.
All items were seized for forensic examination.
The driver was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, two counts of supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs, three counts of supplying an indictable quantity of prohibited drugs and possession of prohibited drugs.
Police will allege in court the man was involved in the supply of prohibited drugs between February and July this year. It is also alleged the man had plans to travel towards Northern NSW.
He was refused bail and appeared at Port Macquarie Local Court on Sunday, July 12 where he was formally refused bail to face Taree Local Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
