Confirming his win with an official from the Lott this afternoon, the man explained he'd only just made the exciting discovery.
Still recovering from the good news the man said he was very happy and was in disbelief.
This is wonderful, he said.
"Thank you. I'm very happy. I can't believe it.
"I just waltzed into the newsagency to check my tickets, and the lady told me I'd won a big prize.
"It's overwhelming and such fantastic news.
"I've been playing Lucky Lotteries for a long time, but I'm still really surprised.
He expected the $100,000 windfull would turn his life around.
"It's been a rough year for a lot of people, and I am really glad that I am now in a position to help some family out who need it," he said.
"This will certainly be so helpful to a lot of people.
"Thank you so much."
Tullys Tuncurry Newsagency - where the winning ticket was purchased - owner, Tracey Tull said she was thrilled her winner had come forward to collect their windfall.
"I'm so happy to see this prize go to one of our local and regular customers," she said.
"I am so thrilled for our winner.
"He is so deserving. "
It's great news for our region to have another lottery win.
