MidCoast Council will be transitioning to the platform from July 1 and council's corporate services director, Steve Embry, believes it will be beneficial for council and local businesses.
"Council is rolling out the VendorPanel Marketplace platform from July 1, replacing the former process for requesting quotations, proposals, tenders and expressions of interest," Mr Embry said.
"The good news for business is that VendorPanel simplifies the quotation process, and is also used by many NSW and national public sector organisations. VendorPanel is widely used across NSW - so one registration means exposure to other councils and agencies and many procurement opportunities."
Mr Embry believes having access to these opportunities will be highly valuable as the region emerges from COVID-19 restrictions.
