Several showgrounds across the Mid Coast will soon receive funding from the NSW government to improve infrastructure and support local jobs.

Taree, Wingham, Nabiac and Bulahdelah showgrounds will benefit from more than $235,000 as part of a COVID-19 stimulus package.
At Taree Showground, walls will be repaired, the kitchen will be upgraded, new floor coverings, doors and a grease trap will be installed as the result of an $118,899 grant.
An air conditioner and vinyl floor coverings will be installed in the Wingham Showground tea rooms. Improved access will be made from the kiosk to the show ring gate, blocked drains will be replaced and garden hedging will be installed to act as a camping privacy screen.
The total cost of the projects will be $69,386.

The Nabiac Showground committee will use $35,071 for repairs and a repaint of the main ring fence.
Canteen facilities at Bulahdelah Showground will be upgraded with $11,983. A key project will be the installation of an exhaust system.
Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead, said the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement or cancellation of agricultural shows and many activities across the region.
Showground societies rely on these important events to provide income.
"This investment by the NSW government will provide a boost for our local showgrounds and the communities they serve by supporting tradies and suppliers with work and strengthening showground infrastructure for the future," Mr Bromhead said.
