The community is being encouraged to think local first as part of a #ShopMidCoast campaign aimed at supporting local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From cafes with new drive-through services to newly installed hand washing facilities, there's no end to the creative ways businesses are adapting to the new world.
"We're all in this together - and we're just so proud to be part of the amazing MidCoast community - our local businesses are responding creatively and our community has also stepped up to support local businesses," said Council's Director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell.
Working with business chambers across the MidCoast, council has launched the new site which features a searchable directory for all businesses and outlines how you can keep shopping local during these unusual times.
MidCoast Business Chamber president John Stevens said this had been a great collaborative project between council and the local business community.
"We are very supportive of the approach. This database and the complimentary television advertising campaign are just the start of what we can do together to encourage our local community to continue their support which is so needed at the moment and going forward."
Everyone's invited to visit www.shopmidcoast.com.au to see who's open for business across the MidCoast.
The website also provides a range of information to support local businesses navigate the current situation and provides valuable information on how businesses can access funding and resources.
