While there have been some changes to our programming, our libraries are open to continue to provide our valuable service to our community.
The measures we have put in place include increased hygiene measures to treat the return of items as well as staff practicing social distancing.
We are constantly monitoring advice to make sure we take sensible steps.
You may also find some of our public PCs have been temporarily taken off line to encourage social distancing.
The home library service will continue, with increased hygiene and non-contact delivery practices.
Like most, if not all, public libraries in NSW we have suspended our programs and events.
This is a temporary situation and we will be resuming normal activities once we receive advice that it is appropriate to do so.
We do understand how important our library programs and events are to the community so we're working on ways we can provide this service in a different way through online interaction and content.
Keep up to date with what's happening on our website or Facebook page.
Now is the perfect time to take advantage of our online library service.
We have an extensive collection of ebooks and eaudios and we've just purchased a whole new range of titles, most of which are by best-selling authors.
In a stroke of good timing we've just added the IndyReads to our online services.
Indyreads provides access to a State-wide collection of independent Australian andinternational titles, classic literature and modern award-winning titles in eBook and eAudio format.
Never before have we been able to offer so many ebook and eaudio titles and we're even looking to launch another whole new eCollection shortly as well, so please keep an eye on our website.
Alternatively, you may like to borrow from our online RbDigital magazine collection, filled with popular titles, or build up your technology skills using our Computer School online tutorials.
You can also access a world of information through our website using Britannica online.
For those who prefer more visual content why not check out our Kanopy film streaming service?
There are thousands of movies and documentaries to watch.
You could lose yourself for days.
We 've also recently launched a new online service aimed at parents and children.
Storybox Library features stories read by well-known actors, authors and storytellers.
Just because we've had to temporarily suspend out face-to-face storytime sessions doesn't mean children have to miss out on the story-reading experience.
There's plenty of library services you can access directly from your home.
Of course, if you are well, you're very welcome to come down and visit us.
All we ask is that you follow good hygiene practices and respect social distancing.
You can rest assured we'll be doing exactly the same.
See you at the library.
