Grants are available for community organisations.
Last year the region allocated more than $170,000 and thousands more of in-kind support, Club Forster president, Claire Fletcher said.
Funds have been allocated to a diverse range of community projects including support for the Great Lakes Women's Shelter, programs for young people at risk, aged and those with chronic illnesses, she said.
According to NSW Council of Social Service representative, Jane Lynch, the funding was administered by local representatives who have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of local social priorities and provide funding.
"Our clubs will continue our commitment to the community by providing funding that is spread as far as possible across a wide variety of local projects, whilst providing the greatest tangible benefit to the needs of our area assured the club representatives from the Club Grants Local committee," Forster Bowling Club general manager, Damian Clements said.
Community groups can apply for funds online by visiting the ClubGRANTS website.
