Burst main shuts down water supply
Motorists are advised to slow down or avoid Manning Street, Tuncurry between South and Lake streets following a burst water main late this morning, Friday, February 28.

Until MidCoast Water arrived on the scene just before noon, sand and water poured onto both the road and footpath.
The impact of the water caused the cement footpath to lift, forcing MidCoast Water to limit access.
In the meantime, water will be cut for much of the afternoon and into the early evening while repair work is undertaken.
MidCoast Water is waiting on traffic control and Essential Energy to arrive.
Water also was seen pouring out of a power pole.
