The welcome rain has doused the horrible fires of the summer (and spring) of 2019-2020.
But, the stress and devastation of this hellish episode will not be forgotten quickly.
Neither will the efforts of those amongst us who volunteer their time, and too often their lives, to protect us and our property.
Amidst this atmosphere, Fox Sports soccer presenter, Tara Rushton, decided she wanted to organise 'something' and target 'somewhere' to help.
"I was really moved by what was going on, everyone was," Tara said.

"And I thought I'd like to organise something that could actually target a specific operation."
So Tara worked the phones, contacting her soccer colleagues at Fox Sports, the guys and girls who cover the A-League and W-League, with a proposal that over one weekend of action, each commentator would donate $20 per goal that was scored.
The task for Rushton was to decide upon a beneficiary.
"I knew Harps (Fox Sports soccer commentator, Andy Harper) lived in Nabiac and that the area was under threat.
"And I thought it would be great to also have a personal connection for the Fox Sports' team.
"So after making a few inquiries, we settled on the Krambach crew.
"We made contact with the brigade captain, Clare Broniman, to tell her our plans.
"She was a bit blown away, but also very grateful."
So, on the second weekend of January's A-League and W-League, the goal-counter was on alert and by the end of the weekend, the Fox Sports' soccer commentators had committed themselves to $6380 to the Krambach RFS.
