Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service community liaison officer, Richard McGovern said the event was designed to cater for all golfers of all levels.
"This is simply a fun day and a fun way of raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service," he said.
"We have been able to secure Ditchfield contractors as a golf day sponsor while the car hole-in-one sponsor is Insurance House and Taree Volkswagen.
"The brand new VW Polo is valued at $21,5000 - and could be yours if you can successfully land a hole in one."
The golf day is an 18-hole drop off ambrose competition with a 12.30pm shotgun start on Thursday, March 5.
There will be a barbecue lunch and registration from 11.30am.
The cost for a team of four of $240, includes a gift pack and a three course dinner presentation at the Forster Golf Club.
A dinner-only option is also available for $50.
Special guests for the dinner include book poet Murray "Muz" Hartin and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service CEO, Richard Jones.
"The service is the community's own rescue helicopter flying on average five missions to the Mid-North Coast each week."
Mr McGovern said each mission costs around $4000 per hour.
"In one sense we are lucky living on the Mid North Coast because we are serviced by both our Tamworth and Newcastle medical aircraft," he said.
"But that comes at a cost with most missions costing between $6000 to $12,000 each depending on what the aircraft is required to do for each mission.
"The community's own rescue helicopter, is ready to respond 24/7, seven days a week all thanks to the support of towns and districts we service."
