Forster Tennis Club has launched a new, commitment free program for adults and no experience is necessary.
Every Wednesday evening from 5.45pm the club holds open court sessions, a new social tennis initiative allowing players of all abilities to get back into tennis or start for the first time.
President, Craig Mason said the open court sessions provided a flexible and commitment-free alternative to catching up with friends.
"The new Wednesday night social event is open to everyone, celebrating tennis through fresh, new game formats in an accommodating and commitment free environment," he said.
Food and drink are included in the 90 minute sessions, as well as an upbeat soundtrack to keep everyone smiling and relaxed.
Mr Maison said the aim of the program was to have participants embracing casual tennis in a relaxed format.
The evening is made up of two parts - 30 minutes off-court with food and drinks, and 60 minutes on-court time for swinging, slamming and smiling, with a great soundtrack pumping through the evening.
"Forster Tennis Club is excited to launch the new social tennis offering and are looking forward to engaging with the local community to provide a fun, fitness alternative.
"Open Court Sessions is for anyone who has ever thought 'I love tennis, I used to play' or 'I want to play tennis again, I just don't have anyone to play with.
"Open Court Sessions is a solution that allows for all styles of play.
"For every level, for every age, for every person.
"Tennis is a much loved sport in Australia and research has shown there are a huge number of ex-tennis players who would be keen to pick up a racquet again but haven't felt they could.
