While the restructuring of Football Mid North Coast's (FMNC) premier league competition hasn't been popular with all clubs, Tuncurry Forster Football Club president, Lance Fletcher, says his squads are excited about playing in the new Zone Premier League (ZPL).

With a large roster of young players, Mr Fletcher said the one-team senior grade competition combined with the unique under-20s competition that allowed five overage players in each team was beneficial to his club.
"Now that we've got this under-20s comp it suits our club down to the ground," he said.
The club's senior squads will start training on Monday, January 27 at 5:30pm, where a meeting and information session will also be held.
Mr Fletcher said the club had retained the majority of its players from last year, but would welcome any new players keen to join.
"If you are interested in playing senior football you are encouraged to attend the meeting for more information," he said.
The club's 2019 premier league coach, Scott Fletcher, would once again steer the senior squad, while a coach for the under-20s team had yet to be named.

As a recent inductee to the FMNC board, Mr Fletcher said he wanted to focus on attracting children and teenagers in the area back to the game of football.
"We've got to do what we can to encourage them back to the sport," he said.
"I'm really worried about the drop-off in juniors in all sports."
In addition to the ZPL and under-20s teams, Mr Fletcher said the club was hoping to nominate an under-18s team, an over-35s team and an open women's team.
Registrations are now open and links to registrations are available on the Tuncurry Forster Football Club's Facebook page as well as the FMNC web page.
