Last Friday, January 10 police pulled over a white Range Rover while it was travelling along Manning Street, Tuncurry.
While searching the vehicle they found a backpack belonging to a 38-year-old Marks Point man.
Inside the backpack was a large knife in a sheath, a baseball bat, a number of tablets and towels.
The man claimed the knife and bat were for protection, admitted to owning the tablets and said the towels were from a Tuncurry motel.
A further search of the vehicle located bags belonging to a 21-year-old Maryland man.
Police uncovered about half a gram of cannabis and a replica glock pistol.
Both men were charged with possessing the items and will face court on February 12.
Police then spoke with a 26-year-old Windale woman, who admitted owning the vehicle.
Several items of clothing and handbags located in the vehicle still had price tags attached.
The woman said they were purchased earlier in the day but was unable to produce receipts.
A large sum of money, wrapped in foil in a dog food bag, was found in the woman's handbag.
Another search of the car located plastic resealable bags containing methylamphetamine and tablets believed to be MDMA.
The woman was charged with possessing the items and refused bail to appear in court on January 28.
