She shared an eerie and beautiful photo with the Great Lakes Advocate that showed the extreme transformation the landscape along The Lakes Way took on in the aftermath of the October 26 fires.
In many ways, the five photos she's shared with us now show the extreme contrasts the Great Lakes has experienced this year.
There are the stunning waterways and the striking natural beauty for which the area is known, but also signs of the destruction we faced during the bushfire crisis.
Above all, there is the timeless experience of looking at great photos.
Red Spot Boat Shed
It was during one of the days of intense smoke that cloaked the area in November that Beverley captured this image.
"The colour of the kayaks really stood out in contrast against the smoke and I love the birds perched on the roof as spectators. It is a favourite as it was such an unusual day and the shot captures a unique place and time."
Fan palm, The Southern Parkway
In mid-December, more than a month after fire had ripped through bushland around The Southern Parkway and Goldens Road, Beverley returned to the fire grounds to see if any life had sprung from the ashes.
"I have been watching out for new growth and was amazed and impressed to see the fan palms appearing. I like the vividness of their green among the blackened trees and it makes me happy to see life reappearing."
The Bullring, Forster
Taken at the Bullring at the end of April, this shot showcases the beautiful colours that characterise a typical Autumn afternoon.
Beverley said she was drawn to the image because of the children.
"The kids were enjoying the last days of warm weather and the innocence of their fun was good to see. I like the simplicity of the shot which is why it is a favourite of mine."
Pelicans, Tuncurry
It was in December that Beverley took this image of pelicans hanging around the Point Road fish-cleaning tables at Tuncurry.
"I just love the hilarity. They could be singing Christmas carols - quiet appropriate right now!"
Minimbah fire, Green Point
Beverley was taking general photos at home at Green Point when she spotted the Minimbah fire escalating in mid-October.
"It is a favourite because of its dramatic content," she said.
