On Sunday, December 15 the brigade received a donation of a construction site shed, from Onsite portable building hire in Sydney.
Delivery to the Rainbow Flat station address was organised by Reach Crane Trucks, St Marys at no costs to the RFS.
The driver also volunteered his time.
The portable building has been donated until the brigade station has been rebuilt, no matter what the time frame is.
Brigade senior deputy captain, Peter Sweeney said it was going to be a long road to get back where the brigade was before the devastating fires, with the total loss of its brigade station building.
He said brigade members were please with this on-site building as it would allow the brigade to have meetings, training and a place to rally round and call home.
"Although only temporary, this a start and a very important part for the members of the brigade to show the process has started."
