The original fundraiser was scheduled for November 10, just weeks after the 'first' bushfires tore through the Great Lakes threatening homes and livelihoods.
The fire began back in early October in Minimbah.
However, NSW Rural Fire Service personnel have been battling bushfires since late August when the Big Island on Wallis Lake burst into flames and later jumped onto the mainland.
Tuncurry resident, Michael Pazzo feared he might lose his home on the evening of October 26 when the red steer charged through Tuncurry, Darawank, Failford, Hallidays Point, Rainbow Flat, and earlier Forster.
Following the terrifying evening, Michael said he was eternally grateful to the hundreds of emergency volunteers who continued throughout the day and night ensuring residents and their properties were safe.
