Newly-installed GWS Giants football chief Jason McCartney has wasted no time in offering three of the club's top players new contracts, according to media reports.
Jeremy Cameron, Lachie Whitfield and Zac Williams, all of whom are out of contract in 2020, have each had a new deal put on the table in a bid to keep them at the AFL club, according to the Daily Telegraph.
"They've been presented with offers," McCartney was quoted as saying.
"We're well advanced in those discussions. You never exactly know until they're signed but all the indications from players and their management are that they're really comfortable and happy where they are.
"In fairness to Jeremy in particular, that was left alone all year so he could really focus on the footy but we've had some good conversations post-season.
"Lachie's (talks) started later in the year and with Zac we kicked off those negotiations as soon as the season finished, like Jeremy just in fairness to Zac to let him, get a year of footy under his belt again."
McCartney was announced as new football operations chief on Thursday having filled the club's list manager role for two years, a position he held at the Western Bulldogs during the club's Premiership season.
His appointment followed Wayne Campbell's resignation at the grand final runners-up at the beginning of the month.
