Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield has re-signed with the Cats, extending his contract with the club until the end of the 2024 season.
The 29-year-old former Brownlow Medal winner has played 248 AFL games, including 94 since joining Geelong after joining from the Adelaide Crows at the end of 2015.
"Since arriving, Patrick's performance both on and off the field has been exceptional," said Geelong's general manager of football Simon Lloyd.
"His overall commitment to the club and will to compete has been outstanding.
"Patrick leads by example, (he is) highly motivated to further develop himself and invest in the growth of his teammates. His ability to perform at a consistent, elite level is something our young group aspire to," Lloyd said.
Dangerfield has earned All-Australian honours in each of his four seasons at Geelong and he claimed the Brownlow in 2016.
