The money will be put towards the cost of cleaning up hazardous materials such as asbestos-contaminated material exposed during the bushfires, concrete slabs and dangerous debris, including destroyed homes and trees.
Waste levy fees will also be waived at nominated facilities for residents disposing of waste generated by the fires.
This includes building materials, garniture and other bushfire-related waste.
Exemption from these fees will apply until February 29, 2020.
Member for the Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead, believes the funding will go a long way in helping affected residents in the region.
"The impacts of the recent bushfires that have devastated much of our State have been felt particularly hard in Myall Lakes," he said.
"It is now time for the government to do our part, which is why the NSW Nationals in government are providing disaster recovery relief to help residents of Myall Lakes to get back on their feet as soon as possible."
Those wishing to make an application under the program are encouraged to contact the Disaster Welfare Assistance line on 1800 018 444.
