A 44-year-old man will appear in Forster Local Court later this morning, Friday, November 15 after allegedly intimidating NSW Rural Fire (RFS) Service volunteers.

Yesterday morning, Thursday, November 14 Manning Great Lakes Police District officers were informed a man had approached the two volunteers and allegedly threatened them with physical harm and harm to their property.
The volunteers were forced to stop their fire fighting activities to address the threats and reported the incident to police
Later that morning officers stopped a 44-year-old man in Elands and conducted a search, allegedly locating a knife in his possession.
He was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of intimidation and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court today.
