There have been unconfirmed reports two houses were lost at Rainbow Flat during last night's inferno.
The fire formed part of the blaze which began at Hillville earlier this week.
The fire is more than 12,300 hectares in size and is out of control.
The Pacific Highway between Cundletown and Nabiac remains closed in both directions, while Failford road has re-opened.
The Lakes Way between Failford and the Pacific Highway remains closed.
However, motorists are advised smoke in the area may affect visibility and should drive to the conditions.
Motorists are still advised to avoid non-essential travel as there is no diversion.
