Tuncurry couple Les and Fay Clarke reckon the secret to a long marriage is to give and take in equal measure, but having a sense of humour hasn't seemed to have done them any harm either.

When asked what she first saw in Les, Fay said, "It was probably because he was the same height as me", while Les replied, "I thought she had money."
The pair were married 60 years ago today at St Andrew's Cathedral in Sydney, at a wedding attended by 200 people.
Fay had two bridesmaids, her friend Carla and Les' sister Beverley, while Les' mate Alvie served as his groomsman and his childhood friend Joe was his best man.
This followed a courtship of around five years, after they met at the Surryville Dance Hall when they were both 18.
They spent two weeks honeymooning at Surfers Paradise.
Afterwards the couple raised two children in Sydney, Rodney and Norelle, before moving to Tuncurry 17 years ago.
While they're quick to play down their marital success, they both admit there's been a couple of key ingredients in seeing them through the long haul.
"We still do everything together," Fay said.
"We walk together everyday. People see us from their balconies and call out, 'We love you guys, you're always together.'"
Family has been important too.
"It's a big help when you get on with the in-laws," Fay said.
"We all loved each other."
Staying healthy is another tip, with Fay offering, "Eat healthy, keep busy and have a chardy at four o'clock."
The couple received a letter from Queen Elizabeth congratulating them on their diamond anniversary.
They plan to celebrate by going out to lunch.
