Patrons watched cup day action in comfort, away from the unpredictable and rather chilly weather on this first Tuesday of the month.
More than 300 excited 'racegoers' crowded into the clubhouse soaking up the atmosphere and revelling in cup 'madness'.
A highlight of the day was - as long-time compere Michael Stone describes it - the richest wooden horse race in Australia, which this year offered a grand final purse of $1089.
The day was a lucky outing for Neville and Beryl Fox; Neville went home a wealthier man after winning the wooden horse race, while Beryl was runner-up in the ladies golf club raffle.
Michelle Lowry won the ladies raffle.
Forster's Jeanette Crocker, dressed in stylish noir, wore the best hat of the day.
