Council is offering 27 positions including apprenticeships for heavy vehicle mechanic and parks and gardens along with traineeships in civil construction and design, surveying and customer relations.
This is the first round of opportunities that has become available, following a commitment from council to double the number of apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities over the coming year.
"We're excited to be able to offer these wonderful opportunities to our community," MidCoast Council general manager, Adrian Panuccio said.
A full list of available positions can be found on the council website.
Short listed candidates will need to be available to attend a group interview at Taree on November 14 or Forster on November 15.
"We are looking forward to welcoming new employees to our organisation and watching them progress their careers in local government," Mr Panuccio said.
As an equal opportunity employer committed to attracting and retaining quality staff, MidCoast Council encourages people of all ages, genders, backgrounds and levels of experience to apply.
Roles on offer are equally relevant to people finishing school or deciding on a career choice, to those of a more mature age looking for a career change.
These job opportunities are part of council's ongoing employment based training strategy which also includes a graduate program, Mr Panuccio said.
As positions become available, council will advertise through its website and other employment websites, as well as local media outlets.
