Members were treated to a slide show and talk about the many European gardens George had visited during his travels.
During the past month the club has distributed close to 100 trauma teddies throughout the Great Lakes to children in need.
President, Norma Watson said the Red Cross had local ladies who knit and label the bears while members stuff and stitch them before sewing on their little faces.
We had a member assisting in the Far North Queensland floods who took trauma teddies up which were warmly welcomed, Normal said.
Members of the community are invited to attend the club's next meeting on Friday, November 1 from 9.30am at the CWA rooms in Little Street, Forster.
The meeting will be followed by morning tea at Palings, Pots and Petals.
