From the awesome music to the crazy clothing and the affordable property prices.
The generation of flower power, flares and flowing locks holds a special place in the hearts of those lucky enough to remember the time when cats were in the cradle and the good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye.
70s Unplugged is an award-winning show filled with great music, and loads of laughs, performed by some of the country's leading entertainers and musicians.
This groovy experience takes you back to those glory days with the music, images and news that shaped our nation and lives.
With music from America, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel and Don McLean, it's the soundtrack of a generation.
The event is headed up by multi-award-winning entertainer and musical theatre performer, Stephen Fisher-King, who fell in love with the guitar-based sounds of the 70s.
I started my career with this music.
- Stephen Fisher-King
"I started my career with this music," he said.
"It was the soundtrack to my childhood, and the playlist for my foray into the entertainment business in the successful duo Smooth Side."
Stephen is classically trained and has performed in numerous national and international musical theatre productions including Cats, the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Evita, Rocky Horror and Hello Dolly.
"I have spent many years performing the classics at venues right around Australia and the world, but the time is now right to get back on the guitar and have some fun!
"Everyone knows the music we play and they sing along loudly.
"We've also got a video presentation that includes some great images of the celebrities of the day, as well as fashion, news and commercials.
"It's a real walk down memory lane."
Stephen will be joined on stage by a five-piece band, including fellow 70s fans and award winning performers Chris Connolly and Jo Elms.
Chris is an authentic 70s musician, an experienced vocalist and guitarist, and an award-winning entertainer.
His band Dark Tan had a number one hit which saw them perform alongside ABBA.
They even performed on Countdown.
"We are so excited to come together in this fantastic show," Stephen said.
70s Unplugged will perform at Club Forster on October 26.
