Kanopy is a free streaming service that is accessible with a membership card. Members can enjoy a large collection of award-winning films and documentaries for all ages.
What will surely attract film buffs across the region, Kanopy Film Club has kicked off in Forster and Taree.
Sessions at Forster Library will be held on the first Monday of the month and at Taree Library on the third Wednesday of the month.
"Kanopy is a really exciting new addition to our services and it's more than just another streaming service," MidCoast Council Libraries manager Chris Jones said.
"There's more than 30,000 films and documentaries available and they're mostly independent, award-winning, film festival favourites.
"I've been making the most of service and it's great to watch something a little bit different, something you wouldn't find on one of the other streaming services."
The next film club event will be held at Taree Library on Wednesday, October 16 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
The libraries team has selected The Song Keepers to stream. The film tells the inspiring story of an Aboriginal women's choir and their first tour of Germany.
Afternoon tea will be provided. It is a free event but booking are essential.
