In 2021 Sarah will join hundreds of pro women golfers from throughout the country and overseas for the NSW Women's Open at Tuncurry golf course.
Since its inception in 2006, the open has become a one of the most prestigious events on the sporting calendar and is now an integral part of the ALPG summer tournament schedule.
Leading up to the event Sarah has accepted, with enthusiasm and excitement, an invitation to become tournament ambassador.
"This is pretty special; it is an honour," she told the Great Lakes Advocate.
"I love coming home; it is like a holiday even though it is work."
And, when Sarah does return home from her busy playing schedule she makes a beeline for the Tuncurry course.
"It is really good practice here."
Plans for a single-storey pro-shop, amenities building and golf museum at the Tuncurry course are progressing, Forster Tuncurry Golf Club president, Pat Burn said.
Construction on the project, which has been partly funded by the State government, is expected to get under way in early 2020, with a due date later that year.
