Hosted by Tea Gardens-based tourism operator Lazy Paddles Guided Tours and Kayak Hire, the event will take place at Hawks Nest Golf Club on the evening of Saturday, September 21, with doors opening at 6:30pm.
Featuring a number of award-winning films, including The Passage, Feel of Vision and Junk Paddle (by Australian film-maker Beau Miles), the night looks set to appeal to a variety of paddlers and should double as a great social event, according to organiser Darren Cook.
"There's quite a variation and a crossing over of different disciplines of paddling," he said.
"They look really good. We thought it'd be a good thing in our area."

With the Myall Classic Paddling Ultramarathon taking place on Saturday at Tea Gardens, Mr Cook hoped the night would encourage the large number of paddlers visiting the area to make a weekend of it.
"It's a social night as well as a film night," he said.
"It helps the local economy and the businesses around town."
So far the response to the event has been good, with a large number of tickets selling already and Mr Cook expecting plenty of people through the door on the night.
The event costs $20 and all proceeds from the night will be donated to Marine Rescue.
The screening starts at 7pm and is expected to run for two-and-a-half hours.
Children under 16 are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
