One of the most popular activities with students as well as staff was the 10-minute group reads first thing in the mornings.
Each teacher took a book to a location in the playground and students had the opportunity to choose which teacher they would listen to as they read their stories.
It was such a successful activity there has been talk about doing it more often at the school.

One special surprise for some of the classes was the mystery reader, where a staff member turned up to a class unannounced to read a story.
Of course, the most enjoyable activity was the traditional Book Week Parade which took place on the afternoon of Friday, August 23.
This was by far the school's most successful year with most students and staff (and many parents too) shining in their costumes.
This finale to Book Week rounded off a wonderfully whimsical week for the school, and everyone at Forster Public School is certainly looking forward to what antics they will get up to next year.
