Transport for NSW will carry out the work involving inspecting and testing electrical, mechanical and emergency system components on the bridge.
To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out at night on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday September 10 between 8pm and 4.30am and is expected to be completed in two shifts, weather permitting.
The southbound bridge will be closed and motorists will be diverted onto the northbound bridge which will have one lane operating in each direction.
Closure of the pedestrian bridge will also be required while the work is carried out and traffic control will be on site to ensure safe escort for pedestrians.
The bridge will not be open to marine traffic while the work is carried out.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
