And, Pacific Palms Surf Life Saving Club can guarantee a belly full of laughter at its Comedy for a Cause evening on August 31.
The event is being held to raise much needed funds to purchase vital life saving equipment, maintenance and to continue to keep the community safe in the water during the busy spring and summer swimming season.
It's the first time that we have had this comedy night and we hope it becomes a regular entertainment evening at our club, organiser Xanthe Vicary said.
"We have comedians from the Sydney and Melbourne International Comedy Festival coming - all a bit of fun."
What else is on?
"Also we have local businesses supporting the club through the raffle which will be drawn on the evening, including prizes of a piece of framed art from Raw Edge Photography, Reeve Plumbing is donating $100 voucher to eat at the delicious Hueys Pizzeria, the fantastic Great Lakes Food Trail is donating a hamper of lovely goodies and vouchers, a $100 voucher to dine at Mobys on Red Gum and a summer's worth of Hamilton Sunscreen."
Other prizes include a voucher donated by Boomerang Beach Surf Co and a magnum of rose' from Blueys Cellars & Deli.
Tickets can be purchased on the Pacific Palms Surf Lifesaving Comedy for a Cause website here as tickets won't be available for purchase at the door.
The Recky courtesy bus will drop ticketed guests home anywhere from Tiona to Tarbuck Bay free of charge between 10.30-11.10pm.
