Visiting authors
If your reading tastes are a little older we've got four great author events coming up in August.
You can join Todd Alexander at Taree on Monday, August 12 or Hallidays Point on Tuesday, August 13 as he shares stories from his latest book, the intriguingly titled Thirty Thousand Bottles of Wine and a Pig called Helga.
If romance is more to your taste, head to Tea Gardens on Friday, August 23 or Harrington on Saturday, August 24 to hear debut author Jasmine Stevens share stories from her novel, Waiting for You.
Well-known author and radio presenter, Tim Bowden will be launching his latest publication, Larrikins in Khaki, at Tea Gardens library on Monday, August 26 and Hallidays Point on Wednesday, August 28.
Finally, we'll be bringing you the launch of Joel Wakeley's latest publication, The Passion for Utes - An Australian Obsession. The launch is happening at Harrington on Friday, August 30, from 2pm to 3pm, with a Moto-fest display from noon to 1.30pm.
Copies of the books from all of these events will be available for sale on the day.
Or, for something completely different, join us for Road Safety for Older Users - Tea Gardens library; Family History Workshop - Taree library and a Beeswax Wraps workshop - Wingham library, all held in August.

Basic tech help
Need a hand with your smartphone, tablet or computer?
Thanks to a partnership with Optus, local experts will offer basic tech-help in one-on-one sessions, at Taree and Hallidays Point libraries. These sessions run each Monday, from 10am to 1pm at Hallidays Point and 2pm to 4.30pm at Taree.
For Forster Tuncurry residents tech-help sessions are held every second Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.
All sessions are free.
HSC study nights
Our very popular HSC study nights are back, with access to wi-fi, free photocopying/printing, a quiet place to study outside of normal library opening hours and refreshments to keep your energy levels up - Wednesdays at the library are the place to be.
No need to book. Just come along to Taree and Forster libraries, from 5pm to 8pm, each Wednesday from July 31 to August 14.
Not only that, all HSC students across the region are entitled to an exclusive HSC Print card, providing free printing up until November 30.
See you in the library.
